Dr. Barwick is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and currently holds the position of Director of Cognitive Behavioral Sleep Medicine at the Stanford Sleep Medicine Center. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of insomnia, circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders, parasomnias, and sleep apnea from a Health Psychology perspective. Treatment includes cognitive-behavioral and augmentation therapies for addressing problems with falling and/or staying asleep, managing sleep patterns that are earlier or later than desired or needed, having recurrent nightmares, and adjusting to PAP therapy for sleep apnea.
